isn't it something how this band of ours joins young and old (and old as hell)fans together? since train is my only and forever band i can't think of any others that do that.i've loved their music for so long. when soul sister came out and one of my students heard me talking with another teacher about it he couldn't believe this old lady loved the song too. ever since then i'm known as the teacher in love with train music. this summer (ugh summer school!) i have a particularly difficult girl --although all eighth graders are something of a challenge-but when she was talking with another girl about 50 ways and i chimed in about loving the song too her jaw dropped. we seem to be in tune with each other now and the next few weeks i'm sure the conversations will revolve around train. the fact that i'm going to a concert at the end of august really put it over the edge.my signed poster already has an assigned spot in september.right over my desk. crazy, old as hell, train loving teacher!

Permalink Reply by Linda Bringier on August 4, 2012 at 4:30pm Good for you, Laurie...you go girl! lol Well, ummmm speaking of "old as hell" . . . I think I really might be "old as hell!!!!!" (64 in a month) May look it (not), but sure don't feel it...lol! Going to the 9/16 concert (Happy Birthday to me) and still trying to find out info on the "Meet & Greets." The venue knows nothing about such a thing. Maybe you know how to find out? This will be my 3rd concert in 18 months. I haven't had a favorite group since the 60's.....till Train! :) Love them!!!! Linda
Linda, did you purchase gold tickets with a meet and greet package? if so, from what i understand you get an email about a week before the concert advising you of the details for the meet and greet. i'm going on august 24th so my info is coming in just a few weeks. can't wait!
not my first concert, but my first meet and greet. not like we could really afford it, but i'm not putting anything off anymore-- that's one of the good things about being "seasoned" (i believe "goat" on here refers to it that way).

Permalink Reply by Linda Bringier on August 5, 2012 at 12:51am There was no meet & greet package listed....or I would have bought it without blinking an eye! Guess it's not happening in New Braunfels. :( I purchased one of 28 tables of 6,,,,first row center. Not a better or closer seat in the place! This section is raised, and behind a general admission standing only area no more than 50' from the stage. I didn't want to deal with a possibly pushy crowd, so got the closest seating possible. Oh gosh, I wish there was a way to just get a picture with Pat! That would sure give me a happy bd!!! Lucky you! Enjoy the heck out of your meet and greet!
