This is one of your best songs. It will remain a classic forever. Its one of my favorites. It has such meaning spiritually, about eternal love (especially when its about the love and connection between a son and a mom). It's about that awesome connection that can never be broken.

DROPS OF JUPITER - The words/music for this Album as it touched my life about seven years ago, when I had a complete "Breakdown" "Awakening", as if I tried out for a part in a movie and got it!....I literally turned myself into the music, each and every song became a part of me ( I left so I could find myself) and listening to the Album night after night, day after day I eventually found my way home! It was an insane adventure but one of the most beautiful experiences I have ever had. It really was something that "GOD" understands....you could say I rode the TRAIN all the way... and came back.  I woke up for the first time and have been riding the TRAIN ever since.  God only knows I have had quite a few train wrecks....but the beauty is I survived and I am still here with purpose, I keep standing back up and looking deeper inside of me so I can continue to grow with this UNIVERSE.  Fighting for everything I believe in, falling in love with life, life is amazing!  I see "VISIONS" in our future of Peace and LOVE without suffering.  I hope we all start creating this vision in our minds so LOVE can spread throughout our Universe. My sons death has drawn me back to the CD..."Drops of Jupiter This "CD" is a mother son thing, I dreamed, recently my son took me out flying, teaching different things he had learned, it was beautiful; "ITS with YOU!"  We are reclaiming who we really are, are true purpose in life.  Sending my love out to all of you!  I could be that everything you need....Come on JUMP TO ME!  It's not just a  DAYDREAM anymore,  Love, Trina  xo

The best song!  I bought the album after seeing the video the first time.  And was not dissappointed!!  The rest, as they say, is history!

I think this is one of the best songs ever made.  The passion with which this song was written comes through in the music...I don't think anyone could ever listen to it and not be touched by it.  I remember the first time I heard the song on the radio and thinking what a wonderful, passionate song it is. I am a "rediscovering" fan...I've just gotten back into your music over the last two years and I don't think a day has gone by since then that I haven't listened to it.  Drops of Jupiter is my favorite song...so glad you guys are back doing what you should be doing!!

I'm doing a project in my art class with lyrics from any song and I choose this song of course. I need some ideas of what to draw. I was thinking the lyrics "Did you finally get the chance to dance along the light of day.......And then you missed me while you were looking for yourself out there" I can use any medium I want I just need help this is an emergency!

Danielle, you're off to a good start... use your original thought and lyrics w/ 'Drops' but include the milky way too. Suggestion... maybe have the 'light of day and milky way' fade into each other w/ an image (or a skewed image) of a person transfixed between the two. A thought to help you, I hope, but I'm not clear on the directions given to you from your teacher. So I hope this may help.~Sjerseygirl

Danielle, I think this would be the perfect song for an art project.  The only suggestion I would make would be to make sure that your drawing portrays dreamlike quality since the idea for this song came to Pat in a dream--the skewed image Sjerseygirl suggested would be good for that. Good luck with your project!!  Post a pic so we can see how it turned out....Lisa

I've been keeping Royal Mail busy this week with new fewer than 4 Train albums arriving through my letter box! DOJ is the earliest of the albums I've received so far so thought I'd start with this one first.

Dont wish to sound too critical but overall I found this to be a solid, rather than great, album. The songs in the first half of the album appealed to me the most; I found it tailed off ever-so-slightly in the 2nd half.

Having said that, there were no songs I actually disliked which was a big plus for me, as that is a pretty uncommon occurrence. And it may well be that some songs will grow on me as I listen to them more. I gave the songs ratings out of 10 as I went along - im a bit of a stat geek like that lol - and the lowest mark i awarded was 6.5 (on 4 occasions).

Probably no surprise but for me the stand out track is DOJ which gets 10/10, it's the song that (I'm guessing) non-Train fans know the best. Just out of curiosity how do Train fans feel about this song? Is this considered to be a fan's favourite or not??
