I have been a train fan long before it was cool to be a train fan.  Love 'em.  HOWEVER, as of their show in September 2011 at the White River Amphitheater, I can honestly say that I don't know if I'll fork out the dough to go to another one.  I'm sick of more and more and MORE goofball chicks being called up on stage to waste valuable singing time!  And, no, I'm not jealous that I've never been one of those goofball chicks.  Just sing, Pat.  Just sing.  If I want a corny show, I'll go to Vegas.  Stop wasting everybody's time with your outfit changes and time-wasting antics with the ladies and JUST SING!!!

I hail from Australia, and was lucky enough to win tickets last year to my 1st train concert. I fluked the win I don't know how but i think it must have been in the universe. Since June 2010 I have seen another 4 shows in 3 countries and been a Trainette in Dublin, ireland and Melbourne,Australia. These nights were the best of my life granted there were only about 6-8 of us onstage with the guys, the number of girls onstage has gotten big in the last leg of the usa tour. but that no doubt is compenstating for the larger venues they are now playing for. It's the interactiveness and the amazing talent of these 5 gentleman that makes me fly from Kenya to Ireland to see the most amazing people and band I have ever met in my life. As well as travel to london to see them as well. And its the amazing friendships i have formed with trainiacs I have never meet before that is the reason I am going to be flying to America in January to meet. If your going to disrespect what makes these people amazing and giving, don't be on here, don't go to concerts watch midnight moon or youtube videos in the comfort of your own home.
How can i get midnight moon? Does anybody know?

Great words from a true Train fan! I totally agree with you and I have formed some strong friendships by meeting other Trainiacs at our guys concerts as well as social media sites. Train does not forget their fans, they remember who has carried them along the way - True Train Fans - Who stick together!

My only thought is make the concerts a bit longer.  As it is the show is just over an hour. Not really very long for a headliner.  Add 3-4 songs and play for 90 minutes and people will then put up with the Trainette "delay" as they would be getting more songs. In 2004, they played for an hour, took a 20 minute break and then played for an hour more !!!  THAT is value for your money.  Just my two cents.
Normally they would the last concerts ive seen the play for almost 2 hours, but this last tour with M5 the sets had to be shorter to accommodate both bands because it was co-headling concert.

Sing and dance thru this life enlighten the soul with music we love 'TRAIN' smiles etched upon the hearts of the ones who stood but a moment on the stage but memories of the life time
Ok I'm only a teen so I wasn't being really crazy like some older ladies on stage with me when I was a trainette and i had the time of my life getting to sing up there but, come on really does 10-15 minutes out of the WHOLE concert really irritate you that much? It is such a short amount of time and 30-40 girls/ladies have the time of their life! And the outfit changes I thought where kinda funny and entertaining and when you play in TX and Arizona it's hot you're probably gonna want a different shirt or jacket! Just chill you don't have to go to their concerts.... By letting the girls come up and be trainettes they probably gained 30 new fans I don't think they would care if the loses you.
Agreed, Eilish!

And, man, oh man, I giggled SO badly at "Ok I'm only a teen so I wasn't being really crazy like some older ladies on stage with me"! I'm 19, but many of my friends are quite a bit older than me, so I get where you're coming from! ;)

When I was at one of the the meet-and-greets this year, a few of the (super-nice, genuinely lovely!) ladies in front of me seemed to be getting a bit grabby once they realized that Train was actually standing within arm's reach. LOL. By the time I got to the front of the line, I was like I MUST BE RESPECTFULLLLL.

The balance between fanatic and creepy-grabby can occasionally be difficult for some to fully grasp--and, really, how many people are calm and comfortable being on-stage in front of thousands of people, in the first place? Haha.

Here's my take. On August 13th I saw my 15th show of this tour. The band has changed the show from really nuts & bolts Train to more of a stage show with the lights, graphics , costume changes etc. But lets remember that this tour did not start out as a chart-topping band's tour. Luckily for them (and for those who had never been blessed enough to know their music) they hit it out of the park. Their shows had to grow to become more theatrical. And I think Pat handled it so well. Still able to keep a sense of himself through all the BS. For some of those girls that go onstage, it is the BEST night of their lives! And he pulls so many on stage because he wants as many people as possible to have those kinds of life-changing moments. To bring that joy, even if just for a few minutes. Do you know any other Grammy-award winning bands that try to connect with so many fans? Or that walk through thousands of people with nothing but a few roadies and their tour manager to keep them safe? Now, after the 15th time of seeing the Trainettes would I rather have had him just SING? Sure. But he's not there to bring joy to JUST ME. And I actually really enjoy the comments he throws at the girls. (Some of it is the same but most of it is off the cuff). If you want to see just a show with music, Maroon 5 provided that. If you want to see a show where the lead singer really connects with his audience, there is NO ONE like Train. Sign me up for the next 15 shows...Trainettes and all.

Teresa, I completely agree with you.  Pat truly connected with everyone in the audience.  And he took the time to introduce all of his band members.  It was obvious that there is good harmony among them (no pun intended), and that harmony resonated with all of us who came to hear their music.  I had brought my 18-year-old daughter to the concert because she's been a long time fan of Maroon5, but I fell in love with Train that night.
