Hi guys!

Im kinda new here. I've noticed that Train does a lot of meet and greets. Have you gone to one of those? I went to one, but it was pretty quick! But I must say Pat is really sweet. I saw a couple of fans getting hugs from Pat during the M&G i went to. Scott and Jimmy are really nice too.

How the M&G goes depends on the organizers/producers I think...

Maybe we can share out M&G experiences here. It would be nice to know what the band is like :D

yeh i went to the one in the woodlands tx 9/24/11 it was so amazing ...i was with my mom and we went to meet jake for the m&g we were in line talking to other fans and waiting to go to where pat scott and jimmy were when the line moved to where pat scott and jimmy were we had to walk past them and from another line i was freaking out omg we just walked past pat scott and jimmy so we were waiting in line and i was watching them and freaking out my mom was laughing at me cuz she never seen me freak out so much and the other people in line were laughing at me to they were like its ok lol so we just keep getting closer and closer and when we got up to them i was really freaking out jimmy was first he signed my ukulele and then i asked him to sign my shirt and he did then i asked him for a hug and he gave me one then pat was next he signed my ukulele when jimmy was signing my shirt pat put his hand on my shoulder and said im going to sign here i was freaking out he asked my name and how i spell it i said kayla and i could barley spell my name lol so he sign my shrit then i asked him for a hug and he gave me one then it was scott he signed my shirt and then i asked him for a hug and he gave me one and then we were taking the picture and i was standing in the middle of pat and scott and i was really really freaking out i was like im taking a picture with pat scott and jimmy it was so amazing  ..just wish i could have told them how much they mean to me and how much i love them but i could barley talk so maybe next time lol :p ................ how was yours ?

Luckily I got into a meet & greet hours before the show with a photo op! Again, there were no personal cameras allowed, they had an official photographer. It was quick but great! I was first in line together with 3 more friends, I couldn't believe it. I had the chance to say Hi properly, esp to Jimmy and thanked them for coming/playing here. I joked that it was a good thing they weren't playing in a mall anymore (their first visit, they played at a local mall show) haha! Pat smiled and said "yeah". I was planning to say something about Pat's hair, like "hey your hair looks crazy cool, how many bottles of hairgel do you use?" but opted not to, He might get offended, I dunno the band that well. There were a lot of cameras and clicks, I think we posed still there for about 10 secs! but they only gave us 1 picture. bummer. then i shook each of their hands and thanked them. that was it. i went out the room. Next group! said the organizer.
Then during the concert I was lucky (again) to have one of those "wedding pictures" Pat takes during Marry Me.
I was indeed a very very happy kid! Truly the highlight of my year.

Just my observation, Pat's the most talkative during meet and greets (of course) followed by Scott then Jimmy. Jimmy's kinda the silent type? or is he? I dunno, just my impression. But they are all nice and warm

lol awesome :p.....yeh pat and scott talk more then jimmy ..i love them so much hope to get the chance to meet them again im sure i will knowing myself a huge trainiac i will find a way lol :p

lol yeah im sure you will, i hope they do more shows in the coming years.

Liz, I had the pleasure of hosting the band in my home on August 6, 2010. They gave a private performance in my backyard. Before the performance I spent some time getting to know the three fabulous gentlemen that make up the band Train. Pat, Jimmy and Scott are genuine, thoughtful, and real. They were fun to be with engaging and eager to please. After an early morning performance in New York on the Today Show , and a long bus ride to Rhode Island to get to my home , they were all smiles and anxious for me to tell them what I would like to hear them play. With their customary passion and energy , they gave an unforgettable performance that afternoon. They left my small crowd as energized and happy as they do the the much larger audiences they play to regularly. Pat , Jimmy, and Scott give all they are and all they have. I am proud to say that I met the three incredible men and talented musicians that make up the best band under the stars......Train

Thanks for sharing these experiences, they all made me smile.  Happy for all of you!  Trina

hey no prob, u werent' able to read how i got this terrible picture of pat and "cropped out" me were u? haha i , it was a funny story but i deleted it. I think i was taking too much space narrating what happened i tried to take a picture of myself and pat TWICE but failed, i should get a phone with front/secondary camera!

HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone!

(it might still be a couple of hours there but it's already 2012 here in the philippines)

Hey Laura, that's great! I'm glad they still do private shows. you know sometimes when artists get big, they don't play small crowds anymore. Like, would you imagine say Bon Jovi or U2 playing small crowds? haha unless you are a music industry bigwig ;) or maybe you are Laura! haha

Thanks for sharing this :D

Never been to a meet and greet.  How do you get tickets for that?  I'm dying to meet them!  ; )  And Laura Jean Caprio...how in the heck do you get a private performance?    Info please!!!

How? I just prayed really really hard that I'd meet them! haha well it's persistence+luck+divine intervention! :D

the first one I had was at a mall. there was a CD signing for save me san francisco. All i had to do is buy the CD from the venue and have it signed by the band! Pretty cool huh? but there were no pictures allowed. bummer. I tried to take one but the result is this terrible profile pic I had. I had to do it behind the security's back so it was really quick. Pat was really sweet and agreed to have the picture. I ALMOST got away with it, well except for this poorly taken picture haha! I even asked Pat if I could take another one because i didn't quite got the first one right. He was all smiles and really eager haha but but security caught me and pulled me away while taking the picture! (well not in a violent way) too bad i wasn't able to  greet Jimmy, who was supposed to be next to Pat

But in general, you just have to be persistent, maybe look for promos/contests.

Im from Asia, and Train has performed here just twice. Train performs there in your country a LOT of times, I'm sure you'll be able to meet them someday ;)
