Permalink Reply by jimmyfan on October 6, 2011 at 11:36am This Ain't Goodbye was my favorite too!!! I seriously listened to that song on repeat so many times... I just wish I had heard it live at one of the concerts! Pat's voice is AMAZE in that song.
And of course, Marry Me was a favorite. :)

Ok hey soul sister was the smash hit on this album, but for me this ain't goodbye was the best song.
What was your favorite song, and why?
Permalink Reply by jimmyfan on October 6, 2011 at 2:46pm So what is your fave Train song of all time? In my opinion, "When I look to the Sky" is their best song.

Permalink Reply by jimmyfan on October 6, 2011 at 4:17pm That's a really tough one. When I Look to the Sky is definitely up there. This Ain't Goodbye is up there for me too. I tend to prefer the slow ones because I love Pat Monahan's voice!

Permalink Reply by Pegi on October 7, 2011 at 2:26am I love most of the songs. I GOT YOU really makes my day. My nine year old was voted homecoming queen, she is a cheerleader in a kids football league. We happened to snap a picture in the early days before the boys had their uniforms of the future king walking behind my daughter. They did not know each other, I don't think they know each other now, but he was turned left and she was looking right. IS IT LOVE is amazing. All the music has references to normal everyday events that normal people experience such as watching American Idol, or the reality that girls from the 80's listened to Mister Mister on their stereos before mp3 players. I love the real world knowledge and thought put into the lyrics. I find them complicated and complete. But most of all the songs are happy. While we have all had our bipolar love affair, most of us are getting into bed and watching Idol. (but only late if I was out fishing LOL)
Permalink Reply by Pegi on October 7, 2011 at 2:29am I love the entire CD!!! I cannot help but LOVE Hey, Soul Sister-always makes me wanna sing, dance & be happy....I thought "If It's Love" was just so fun, always will think that & more, and of course, especially love that it was a love song to us fans, "Marry Me" melts my heart and fills it w/longing that someone would feel that way for me, "Parachute" instantly grabbed my heart in every way a song can cuz I always wanna be helpful to everyone, "This Ain't Goodbye" is so significant and meaningful to me as is "Words" and also "The Finish Line," and I could never hear enough of "Shake Up Christmas!" I adore "Brick by Brick" and sing right along with "Breakfast in Bed" and "Save Me, San Francisco"--and basically, which is my favorite is a question of my mood and mindset at any given moment.....I just love and treasure the entire album, and that feeling grows each time I listen to any of the songs! I think it was amazingly well put together--an album where every song would truly be a big hit, and where I wish more would be released. I can apply every single one of them to my life somehow!
