Comment by New England Guy on April 11, 2012 at 6:47am Great album guys, love it. Can't wait to hear these songs performed live. Love the feel of the songs, blending Latin rhythm's and even some Irish sounds in there. Brilliant. See you on tour.
Comment by New England Guy on April 11, 2012 at 7:02am Hey Bonnie,
Congrats on one of silliest requests I ever heard on this site, asking a rock n' roll band to edit their own lyrics when performing live so as not to permanently scar the fragile minds of the teeny boppers in the audience. If you want kiddie safe music, have them listen to Justin Bieber or one of those other family friendly acts. "OMG, Train used the B word in one of their songs, the world is coming to an end". It's Rock n' Roll Bonnie, get over it.
Comment by jeff messer on April 11, 2012 at 7:53am You know, I have been to many Train shows where Pat drops the "F" bomb. Not sure why a lyric in a song is suddenly so offensive.
These songs are awesome. Jeff and Lisa I agree 50 Ways To Say Goodbye threw me, I think it is a great funny song that I believe everyone can relate to at least a little bit. I hope they make a video of this song. I love this album!!
Comment by Laura Ingle on April 11, 2012 at 5:27pm LOVE....LOVE....LOVE....TRAIN!!! I can't wait to get this album!! I'm willing to bet that "This'll Be My Year" will hit #1 on the pop charts!!! BRILLIANT!!! My favorite song!! Although, ALL of them are awesome!! THANK YOU Train!! AND...I LOVE your wine...Drops of Jupiter....MY FAVORITE RED WINE!!!
Comment by SJerseygirl on April 11, 2012 at 8:09pm Love the album, a total mix of different sounds and variation in your music - love the lyrics to all the songs but especially "You can finally meet my Mom" love this...
Love how Train keeps coming up with new and innovative music, sound and lyrics that not only make you want to sing and dance to it but the lyrics give you something to 'think' about. Once again guys you have delivered another Typhoon of happiness :-) Thank you.
Comment by Ginger Crisp on April 11, 2012 at 9:02pm Wow - so fresh and fun! I love it :)
Comment by Ginger Crisp on April 11, 2012 at 9:14pm Is that a bit of Phantom of the Opera in 50 Ways to Say Goodbye?
Comment by jeff messer on April 12, 2012 at 8:20am I hear a heavy auto-biographical aspect to this album (from Pat's lyrics) on a number of songs. Obviouly, THIS WILL BE MY YEAR tells a very personal story, but so many references pop up throughout. References to 1992 (was that when he got married the first time - a la LANDMINE's lyrics?) also pop up in MERMAID, and some harsh words for his ex-wife rear an ugly head in CALIFORNA 37 as well as a dig at replacing "a pretty key dude" (any thoughts as to who that is?) And BRUISES may have some references too.
Certainly seems much more specific than previous albums, as far as being very personally direct. Which I like. Just noticed it being very strong on this album.

Anybody know if gold VIP meet & greet are going to be available for the 8/11/13 San Francisco show? Never got any emails and the mermaid code does not seem to work for that....
