Hope you’re all enjoying your summer! The August pick for Wine of the Month is a favorite of Mr. Stafford himself, and he’s decided that Justin Vineyards & Winery’s 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon is the wine that make’s this month’s cut. He was even kind enough to send in the picture of the bottle above. How much of that bottle do you think Jimmy finished off himself?!
Many great things have been said about Justin’s 2009 Cab, which carries on a legacy of the vineyard’s well-received wines. Those who have had the pleasure to taste it have commented on its “big, fruity nose” and that it’s “light bodied with flavors of black and red fruit”. One noted that its best attribute is that it’s “full of flavor and yet retains finesse.” Tasters have given the wine an average rating of 90 on Cellar Tracker, which according to our old collage syllabi translates to an ‘A’! Its vintages have also done well for themselves, particularly the ‘07, which has held the title of #9 Wine sold by the glass and #12 Most Popular Cabernet in America. Not too shabby!
You can pick up a bottle (or case if you’re feelin’ thirsty!) of Justin’s 2009 Cab in their webstorehere.
Have you had a chance to try Justin’s 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon or any of their other wines? Or have any suggestions for next month’s wine of the month? Let us know in the comments!
